Air Stagnation Advisory

... Air stagnation advisory remains in effect until 3 PM PST
Tuesday...

An air stagnation advisory remains in effect until 3 PM PST
Tuesday.

Air stagnation will continue to be a problem in the valleys of
the east slopes of the Cascades... and in the Wenatchee area
through Tuesday afternoon. Light winds and a strong temperature
inversion will remain over the region tonight through much of the
day on Tuesday. A weak low pressure system will gradually weaken
the low level temperature inversion tonight... but the inversion
will likely inhibit the dispersion of low level pollutants until
Tuesday afternoon.

An air stagnation advisory is issued when stagnant air holds
pollutants close to the ground... where people live and breathe.
It is highly recommended that no outdoor burning occur during
times of stagnant air and that you restrict burning in your
indoor fireplace as much as possible.
