6 PM MDT Monday...

The National Weather Service in Cheyenne has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow... which is in effect
from 9 PM this evening to 6 PM MDT Monday.

* Timing... light to moderate snow will increase tonight and will
continue through Monday afternoon.

* Total snow accumulations... 4 to 8 inches of accumulation is
expected.

* Winds/visibilities... northwest 20 to 25 mph with gusts as high
as 35 mph. Visibilities will be reduced to one half mile or less
at times.

* Impacts... area roads will be slushy as snow initially melts
early tonight. Then as temperatures continue to fall later
tonight... roads will become slick and snow covered and driving
will become hazardous through Monday. In addition... outdoor
enthusiasts or hunters in the mountains should prepare for
winter conditions tonight and Monday.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow means that
visibilities will be limited due to a combination of falling and
blowing snow. Use caution when traveling... especially in open
areas and when approaching and driving over Railroad crossings.
