Elaine Yang

Elaine Yang was born and raised in Taoyuan, Taiwan. After high school and extensive world travel, she decided to come to the United States to pursue her bachelor degree in Meteorology. She started her college life in Tacoma, WA and then finished at University of Wisconsin - Madison in 1999.

Having experienced enough Tropical and Midwest weather, she moved herself to the Golden State - California soon after graduation. In the summer of 1999, she joined WeatherNews Americas Inc. in Sunnyvale as an Operational Meteorologist. After five years of working in the Media and Marine Meteorology, she headed to Weather Underground Inc. as a Senior Meteorologist and a Meteorological Developer in October of 2004.

In her free time, you can find her in various jazz and dance clubs. She also enjoys outdoor activities as well as playing her Yamaha-P88.
