Advertising Sales Representative

This is a full-time position starting immediately and located in San Francisco, CA (South of Market).

The wunderground.com site specializes in real-time delivery of current weather conditions, detailed forecasts, and severe weather advisories; it remains the market innovator for web-based weather delivery including historical conditions, city searches, weather stickers, personal weather stations, marine weather, astronomy, and user-uploaded WunderPhotos.

Responsibilities:

The Weather Underground has positions available for online sales professionals with established client bases. We are looking for talented people who are driven toward growing new business relationships into long-term, prosperous collaborations. Our sales team is responsible for soliciting advertising for our website and related operations.

Unleash your creative energy working with advertisers to realize their potential, track user response and optimize campaigns. The Weather Underground's proprietary technology gives you room to innovate and motivate our advertisers to take advantage of unique geographic, demographic, time and weather based targeting capabilities. Advertisements are served where and when they are most effective to best suit the needs of clients.

Skills & Qualifications:

Minimum three (3) years sales experience developing clients and/or agencies
Experience in online advertising sales, brand management, promotions and sponsorships is highly desirable
Proven track record of success driving revenue through the development of long-term strategic relationships
Extensive rolodex of agency contacts
Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills
High energy level and productivity
Strong prioritization skills
Microsoft office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
BA/BS required

Ad Traffic Manager

This is a full-time position starting immediately and located in San Francisco, CA (South of Market).

Responsibilities:

Assist Sales team in inventory forecasting
Client management support (collect, organize, troubleshoot and report on all campaigns)
Be a liaison between the Sales team and proprietary Weather Underground Ad Server (AS5000) technology
Enter ad campaigns into the Ad Server, test them in their targeted areas, and verify that they continue to work in those areas
Report on campaigns using the As Server and MS Office applications
Generate ideas to maximize targeting, positioning, and reach in relation to campaign dollars

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree
Working knowledge of HTML, Javascript, MS Word, MS Excel
Organized, motivated, dedicated, enthusiastic with excellent work ethic
Ability to learn new advertising technologies and deal with a proprietary ad server

Preferred Skills:

Experience with online advertising
Experience with Ad Server interfaces, such as OAS or similar
Familiarity with Flash and dynamic rich media ad technologies such as EyeBlaster

Sales Coordinator

This is a full-time position starting immediately and located in San Francisco, CA (South of Market).

The sales team at the Weather Underground is looking for a dynamic and motivated sales coordinator to assist and support our growing organization. The position will be a key member of the sales team by working with the team to ensure the sales process flows smoothly and efficiently. Possible growth potential within the organization.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for providing answers to client inquiries and ensuring all incoming calls are handled and responded to in a prompt and professional manner
Complete and process request for proposals
Create, process and track advertising insertion orders
Confirm advertising campaigns are running correctly
Collect statistics for advertising campaigns from third party websites
Follow up with clients on a regular basis to ensure all aspects of customer service & satisfaction are met
Maintain customer relationship management (CRM) system with accurate support data that reflects all interactions with customers
Provide general support to the sales team and other departmental groups upon request

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree
Working knowledge of MS Office
Organized, motivated, dedicated, enthusiastic with excellent work ethic
Excellent organizational, oral and verbal communication skills

Preferred Skills:

Experience with online advertising
Working knowledge of HTML, javascript, other web technologies
Experience with third party advertising server interfaces, (DART, Atlas, zedo, etc.)
