Lake Wind Advisory

... Lake Wind Advisory remains in effect until 7 PM CDT this
evening...

* event... a tight pressure gradient between surface high pressure
over the southeast states and surface low pressure over
southwest Oklahoma and northwest Texas will produce strong and
gusty winds. South winds of 15 to 20 mph with higher gusts up to
30 mph will continue into the early evening... then diminishing.

* Timing... through the late afternoon and into the early evening
to around 7 PM CDT.

* Impact... strong and gusty winds will produce a rough chop and
potentially hazardous boating conditions on area lakes.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A lake Wind Advisory indicates that winds will cause rough chop
on area lakes... especially on open waters. Small boats will be
prone to capsizing.
