Weather Summary
Weather Underground Forecast for Sunday, November 23, 2008.
A trough will extend through Japan on Sunday, bringing clouds to the country during the day. Moderated precipitation is expected across the northern half of the country, with snow showers likely over Hokkaido. The trough is associated with a low pressure system near northeastern Russia, which will bring snow showers to the region throughout the day on Sunday. The Kamchatka Peninsula will see a moderate amount of snowfall due to the system. Relatively low pressure over Russia will produce scattered snow showers across the country throughout the day.
A weak trough across southeastern China will bring light to moderate rain showers to that region on Sunday, while high pressure will keep most of the rest of China, along with Mongolia, mostly clear to partly cloudy during the day, although a few areas across central China could see a few scattered showers. Tropical moisture will fuel showers and thunderstorms across Southeast Asia, while the Middle East will see warm conditions, with clouds and a few showers in some areas.
Low pressure will dominate the weather over Australia on Sunday. A departing low pressure system will produce showers over New South Wales during the day. A second, weak system will bring light to moderate rain to parts of West Australia and South Australia, while tropical moisture will fuel scattered showers and thunderstorms across the northern half of the continent. Temperatures across the southern half of the continent will be mild, while to the north, conditions are expected to be very hot.
