Pacific Islands will continue seeing active weather. Expect wet weather to persist over Indochina as onshore flow will continue brining moist conditions onshore. Wet conditions will stretch from southern China, into Vietnam and Cambodia, as well as Malaysia. Strong storms with rainfall totals up to 2 inches are anticipated.
To the north, high pressure will continue building over China and bring another day of mild weather with mostly sunny skies. Expect plenty of sunshine in Beijing with highs only reaching into the mid-50s(F)/ mid-teens(C), while Hong Kong will be dry and warm with highs approaching 90(F)/ 32(C). A small trough of low pressure will continue tracking from eastern China and over the East China Sea, into the Korean Peninsula on Sunday. Thus, expect scattered showers and thunderstorms in Shanghai with highs in the mid-80s(F)/ mid-20s(C). To the east, the system will remain less intense on Sunday, but will kick up scattered showers over Seoul with highs in the mid-70s(F)/ lower 20s(C). Japan will see a few clouds from this event, with no precipitation expected over the country. Tokyo will see patchy clouds with highs in the mid-60s(F)/ upper teens(C).
In Australia, a low pressure system to the south will continue pushing the high pressure system eastward. This will create onshore flow over New South Whales, triggering light rain over the region as the rest of the country remains mostly sunny and dry. Sydney will see a few clouds and highs in the upper 60s(F)/ upper teens(C).
