Weather Summary
Weather Underground Forecast for Sunday, November 22, 2009.
Tropical storm activity is not expected over the Caribbean or Tropical Atlantic on Sunday. However, a strong low pressure system spinning over the Gulf states will continue kicking up wet weather with periods of heavy rain. A front will extend southward from this system and pick up moisture form the Gulf of Mexico. This front will stretch over eastern Mexico and over the Yucatan Peninsula, and bring light and scattered showers to these areas. Behind this system high pressure will build over central and northern Mexico, allowing for mostly sunny skies with mild conditions.
To the south, onshore breeze from the Caribbean Sea will continue over Central America. Thus, light and scattered coastal showers will persist over Panama and Costa Rica, extending northward into Nicaragua and Honduras on Sunday. Meanwhile, the Lesser Antilles will see another day with scattered afternoon showers. Expect the Greater Antilles to remain warm and pleasant with mostly sunny skies.
