Weather Summary

Weather Underground Forecast for Saturday, March 20, 2010.

A few areas of wet weather are anticipated over Latin America and the Caribbean Sea on Saturday. A low pressure system lingering in the Mid-Atlantic will continue pushing a cold front through the Caribbean Sea. This front will greatly diminish as the system moves further eastward, however, light and scattered showers may persist over the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico. The tail end of this front will extend westward and reach into the Central American. This will push moisture onshore and spread coastal showers over Costa Rica and Panama. Meanwhile in the north, a low pressure system moving through the Central US will strengthen as it moves into the Gulf states and pulls moisture onshore from the Gulf of Mexico. Expect scattered showers and thunderstorms to develop along the surrounding coasts. The rest of Mexico and the Yucatan Peninsula, on the other hand, will remain sunny and warm. Expect Mexico City to be sunny with highs approaching 80(F)/ mid-20s(C).
