Weather Summary
Weather Underground Forecast for Thursday, January 08, 2009.
A low pressure system will move off the East coast of the US and over the Atlantic on Thursday. The system will produce a cold front that will extend southward over the Bahamas and Cuba, which is expected to trigger scattered showers throughout the day. The tail end of the front may extend into the Yucatan Peninsula, kicking up a few showers. Otherwise, most of Mexico will remain dominated by high pressure on Thursday. Thus, mostly clear skies and warm conditions are anticipated across the country. The rest of the Caribbean Islands can expect seasonable conditions with mostly sunny skies and occasional showers.
Central America will see active weather on Thursday as lower pressure hovers over Panama. The system will bring moderate to heavy showers to the west coast of Colombia and Panama throughout the day. Meanwhile, the system will push abundant moisture from the Caribbean Sea over Central America, kicking up widespread scattered showers over Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama.
