Blizzard Warning for: =new= Kimmirut Iqaluit. Blizzard developing this afternoon. This is a warning that blizzard conditions are imminent or occurring in these regions. Monitor weather conditions..listen for updated statements. Winter Storm Watch for: =new= CLyde River. Blizzard possible on Tuesday. The potential for severe winter weather exists over these regions. --------------------------------------------------------------------- ==Discussion== a powerful storm tracking northward along the coast of Labrador is expected to lie off the southeastern coast of baffin island by late today. North or northwest winds gusting to 80 or 90 km/h will develop in Iqaluit and Kimmirut this afternoon as the storm approaches giving blizzard conditions with near-zero visibility in snow and blowing snow. The blizzard is expected to end late this evening or overnight. Further north the system is expected to affect the CLyde River area on Tuesday, with northwest winds gusting to 70 km/h giving blizzard conditions.
