Special Weather Statement issued by Environment Canada at 3:59 am EDT Tuesday 21 may 2013. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Special Weather Statement for: Metro Montreal - Laval Vaudreuil - Soulanges - Huntingdon Richelieu valley - Saint-Hyacinthe Lanaudiere Lachute - Saint-Jerome laurentians Upper Gatineau - Lievre - Papineau Pontiac eastern townships. ...rain on tap this week... --------------------------------------------------------------------- ==discussion== a warm front currently south of the border will remain steady today and Wednesday. Bands of rain at times accompanied by thunderstorms will slide along the front this morning and this evening. They will affect the outaouais, southwestern Quebec and the southern part of the eastern townships over the period. The system associated with this warm front will slowly track eastward beginning Wednesday evening; the above regions may see rain again Wednesday evening or Thursday. Total rainfall amounts could exceed 50 mm by Thursday in these regions. Water levels could rise locally. The public is advised to monitor future forecasts and warnings as warnings may be required or extended.
