Heavy snow and strong easterly winds with gusts up to 90 km/h will persist in Arviat and Whale Cove today and through most of tonight. The strong winds and snowfall will combine to give near zero visibility at times in blowing snow. These regions will also see freezing drizzle and total snowfall accumulations of 10 to 15 cm with this storm. Further north, Rankin and Chesterfield inlets will also see snow, but likely a total of 5 to 10 cm.
